Dry Ice Safety Tips :
- Do not touch dry ice with bare skin. It is so cold it can cause frostbite. Always use thick, insulated gloves or tongs.
- Keep away from children.
- Store in a ventilated container. Dry ice sublimates directly into carbon dioxide gas and can explode when kept in airtight containers. A Styrofoam chest with a loose-fitting lid is ideal.
- Do not store in an unventilated area.
- Do not eat or swallow. Contact poison control immediately if ingested.
- Always wear safety goggles when handling dry ice.
- Do not place directly on countertops. Cold temperatures can cause surfaces to crack.
- Do not store in your freezer.
